So I have a fanciful mind, I see things in ways they could be......a breathtakingly beautiful pietersite cabochon cut round, with flames sweeping across its plane. It almost begins to emanate heat, it shimmers with movement like the sun while flames encircle the band, citrines add to the tonal warmth.

Another pietersite cut in an elliptical shape is blue and like the night sky that is illuminated by the moon this cabochon has deep, rich shades of blue that captivate and mesmerize! the slightest move of the hand reveals new and changing depth and the pattern within the stone, while the band echoes those same patterns in silver, 3 sapphires of varying shades of blue play alongside.

Imagination allowed to roam can take us to amazing places.

My world is small I have no need or desire to travel because I am fascinated by the minutiae in nature .

It rains, I step outside my door and watch how the raindrops play on the plants. The colors of the flowers and leaves seem deeper and more saturated after the rain. Drops silently roll on the leaves and petals, some finish their dance by gently dropping to the Earth. Others roll along and come together in the center of a leaf. The big bright green leaves of the nasturtium is the perfect gathering place. Dozens of drops run together and coalesce. Then the magic and wonder of water and leaves happens......in the right light , with a tilt of your head, a silver sheen seems to encase the pool.

When I first saw a silver sheen obsidian cabochon I was intrigued which led to desire and then the correlation of my obsession with raindrops.

So this is my interpretation of raindrops coalescing

Here in the North East corner of PA winter hung onto spring like a bad breakup.

You know the kind , every time you thought they were gone they reappeared clinging to your leg!

Each time it warmed up a bit winter came back with snow, sleet and cold! Finally spring prevailed ad burst forth in all of its glory.

The leaves n the trees sprung out with a vengeance, at ties it seemed they unfurled right before my eyes.

So much green so many shades of green it is a color buffet for the winter starved eyes!

Grey-green, silver-green, light-green, aqua-green, yellow, bright, dark....it is absolutely beautiful and soothing to the body and soul.

We are refreshed and energized because of green!

So when I received these 2 beautiful cabochons of opalized palm wood with their luscious shades of greens I knew it was time to celebrate spring.

These are 2 pendants for my evo-lutions series that honor my favorite inspiration from nature of leaves and vines.

Ahhhhh.......
